ⓘ SCHOOL CLOSURE - COVID-19 UPDATE

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PUPILS AND PARENTS ***

In light of the announcement by the Prime Minister on 31st October 2020 and given the serious nature in which Doncaster finds itself in, being in Tier 3 and having a high number of rising Covid-19 cases, a decision has been made to close the dancing school until after Christmas and we plan to return to classes in the New Year on Monday 4th January 2021.

As I’m sure you can all appreciate this decision was not taken lightly, however, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, teachers and their families must and will always come first.

I know that this will cause disappointment to many of our pupils and for this, I apologise.

In the meantime, on behalf of us all at the Nellie Stagles School of Theatre Dance we thank you for your continued support and understanding.

We look forward to welcoming all our pupils back in the New Year and we hope and pray that 2021 will be a totally different and happier “show year”.

Remember, dancers are made of strong stuff and together, we WILL beat this!

What our parents say

Naidine Symes

"In the 3 weeks my daughter has been attending the Cantley school, she has loved every session and I hope she wants to continue for many years to come. A five star dancing school!"

Chloe White

"I had a fabulous time watching The winter wonderland, great dances and amazing dance routines. Well done to all of the dancers and teachers, you are doing an amazing job."

Amy Brown

"Nellie Stagles Dance School is the one the kids enjoy the most and after trying different dance schools in Doncaster. In my opinion it's been the best by far and very well organised."

If you live in Doncaster then I am sure you will agree, it is hard to imagine a time before Nellie Stagles and the Nellie Stagles School of Theatre Dance.

“Nellie Stagles” is almost an institution and we have been part of the towns cultural life since December 1937, when at the tender age of 17, Miss Stagles opened her first dancing school at the Empire Ballroom, Hexthorpe. Up until her demise in 2007 (aged 87), her passion for art of dance remained unchanged.
