Please read Carefully

COVID-19 Guidelines

  1. If you are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus, please do not attend dancing class for at least 10 days (Fever/high temperature, a new persistent cough, loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath).
  2. Pupils are asked to arrive already changed for class and are asked to only bring one small bag and if needed, only wear a thin coat or hoody. These items are to be kept in the studio at all times. Changing facilities will not be available (at Cantley Studio only).
  3. All pupils are asked to arrive NO EARLIER than 5 minutes prior the start time of your class Please bear in mind that other classes will be in progress and we must try to maintain social distancing wherever possible.
  4. To avoid crowding, parents will not be permitted to wait in the corridors or waiting areas (at Cantley Studio only).
  5. For children aged 6 plus, we are asking parents to operate a drop off/pick up system.
For pupils under the age of 6, we ask that only 1 adult attends and escorts their child to class and then waits outside or in their car until the class finishes. When the class finishes, they may then collect their child. All accompanying parents are asked to wear a face mask/covering.
  1. No food is to be brought to dancing class and only sealed and named water bottles will be allowed, with no sharing of drinks.
  2. No books or magazines or unnecessary items are to be brought to dancing class – other than dance shoes and thin coats/hoodies, to avoid the possibility of cross contamination occurring.
  3. On arrival, everyone is asked to use hand sanitiser. We will provide these facilities.
  4. In line with the government track and trace regulations all pupils will be asked to sign in/out.
  5. Whilst face masks/coverings for dance classes are not currently deemed a compulsory requirement by Government, we have taken the stance that these items are optional by pupils OVER the age of 11 years.
  6. Please greet each other without close contact (no handshakes, hugs etc) and no close contact whilst waiting for your next class or when sat down
  7. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing and then discard the used tissue. Please place any used tissues straight in the bin after use. Wash your hands after coughing or sneezing and re sanitise.
  8. During classes, pupils will be asked and reminded to space themselves at a minimum of 1 metre apart from each other.
  9. Teachers will be cleaning and sanitising equipment and barres between each class, so pupils (and parents) are advised that there may be a short delay in start/finish times.

These guidelines will be revised in line with government advice. They are designed to keep all our teachers, pupils and their families as safe as possible.

I thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. If we all play our part, we can maintain classes in a safe and enjoyable way.
